Virginia Division Lee-Davis Bicentennial Pin Design Contest

Lee-Davis Bicentennial CelebrationDelegates to the 107th Virginia Division Convention approved the recommendation of the Executive Committee that a pin be designed to commemorate the bicentennial of the birthdays of General Robert E. Lee and Pressident Jefferson F. Davis.

Design requirements

The pin will be gold filled and may include enameling. Dimensions of the finished pin shall not exceed 1/2 to 3/4 inches on the vertical nor the horizontal. Proposals may be submitted in the following formats:

Submission should be presented with a fictitious name from Southern history. Attach a sealed envelope containing your real name, address, and Chapter name. Sealed envelopes will remain attached and will not be opened until the winning design is chosen. The winner will receive her Lee-Davis pin without charge.

Proposals to be submitted by U.S. mail to the Chairman of the Lee-Davis Bicentennial Committee by close of business August 1, 2003.

Further details

The winning design will be selected by the Virginia Division Lee-Davis Bicentennial Committee and will be submitted to the Virginia Division President and Vice President. The Virginia Division Vice President will be responsible for obtaining approval from the Virginia Division Executive Committee and for submitting the design to the Vice President General with a request for approval to wear the pin on the official ribbon.
